Two Years

As you know, my silly girl is two years old now. So yesterday, she had her two year physical which went fine accept for the fact that she had to have two shots and her blood drawn. Oh and the guy drawing her blood had to poke her in both arms because he couldn't find her vain. He blames it on her flexing, but I blame him. That's what moms do right. "It's never my kids falt." Ha... Anyways, after all the crying and the many stickers she was given, we stopped at Wendy's for a frosty and played at the park. I'm glad I could do something fun for her after all of that. I still remember when I was about 4 or 5 and my mom would take me to the doctor for shots. I would be crying under the table for at least 10 mintues until I finally had to give in because lets be real here; I never had a choice. My poor kid didn't have a choice, but we know what's good for them; I hope. :> So that was that and I am so glad she doesn't have to go back for another year. Here are her stats: Height 90.2 cm (83rd percentile) Weight 28 pounds (63rd percentile) Head Circumference 48.3 cm (70th percentile) It looks like she is right on track!

Lets Make A Deal!

Check out this video clip if you want to see us on TV! Just click here and a video will come up. Drag the cursor to 10 minutes into the episode, and after the brief commercial brake you'll be in for a treat. By the way, I almost didn't post this because of how silly I acted and how pasty white I am, but oh well. Enjoy!

Still Feels Like I'm On a Ship...

Adam and I just got back from a Cruise to Mexico, this past weekend, and I still can't get over this dizzy feeling. When you're on a cruise ship you can feel it moving slightly enough to maybe feel a little off balance at times. Now that I'm on flat ground I am quite positive that my equilibrium is out of whack because I feel all tipsy. I know being pregnant doesn't help but man...I sure hope this goes away soon because sometimes I just feel like I'm going to fall on my face.
By the way, we had a great time on our trip. It was a much needed vacation after a very busy month. Adam and I figured this was the time to go since we can't go when I get too pregnant, and I can't even think of leaving after I have a new born. We enjoyed eating tons of food (every other hour), sleeping in, watching the comedy shows and musical performances, checking out Mexico (Adam got a professional massage and tried fish tacos for the first time.), playing a little put-put, laughing at drunk people singing karaoke, and just relaxing on the ship while watching the ocean and the sun set.
Thank you to my brother, Mike, and his wonderful wife, Justine, for being so willing to watch Angela for the whole weekend while we were away. You guys really are life savers! We wouldn't have gone if we didn't know she would be left in great hands. Thanks again! We love you guys!
PS: I am sorry that I have no pictures to post from the trip. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera at home. I was pretty bumbed because I had the batteries all charged and ready to go, but I failed to put the camera in my duffel. As my old roommate, Haley, would say "STINKY PETE!"- :(

First Cake Sold!!!

One of my friends was having a family party for her daughter, who was turning two, and she asked if she could pay me to make a cake. I was so excited that she asked. This was the first time I have been paid to make a cake. She decided she wanted a heart shaped cake with white butter cream icing and red pock-a-dots. Just so you know it is a chocolate cake with chocolate moose filling and the pock-a-dots and ribbon around the bottom are made out of fondant. I think she liked it. Yay! A sale and I wasn't even trying to sell anything. I feel so cool!

Angela's 2nd Birthday!

The first part of Angela's birthday was mostly just Mom and Dad cleaning, so she kept herself preoccupied in her new hiding place. She likes to climb inside our kayak and read her books.

I was determined to make Angela a cute birthday cake this year since last year she just had a brownie. I made Love A Lot Bear from the Care Bears because it is pink and Angela loves pink. We also love her a lot, so it was fitting.

I realized I hadn't written on the cake, so there you go!

Angela wanted to wear her dress-up party outfit when it was time to go out and since it was her birthday and her party we let her.
Where else do you take a two year old to play, but a park? She had so much fun on the swing she didn't want to get off, so we didn't make her. She was in it for a good half an hour and then we said we better get to dinner because we were hungry.
We went out to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. It's a favorite of ours and we always seem to get gift cards there every year so we never miss out on going.
When we got home Angela opened her presents,...
we sang happy birthday,...
and she dug right in!
She was eating that cake like her life depended on it. I'm glad to see she liked it!
Happy Birthday Babe! We love you so much!

Christmas Time Has Come and Gone...

For Christmas Adam made me this very handy shelf for many of my kitchen items. It is so nice because now I have a lot more counter space. Thanks honey! You're the best!

Here is the pimped out gram cracker house we made for FHE. Really Adam made it and I added a little here and there. Angela just snagged as much candy as she could with every chance she had. She kept sneaking around and making hiding spots for it. She is so mischievous sometimes!

Our little pot bellied elf...that shirt has so seen its day! Good thing she got some new PJ's for Christmas (thanks to both of her grandmas).
On Christmas Eve we all went on a hay ride in a big trailer and drove around the neighborhood singing Christmas Carols. It was fun and cold!

Here is Angela and Channing on Christmas morning with all the presents! Poor Angela biffed it on the sidewalk the night before, which explains the owies on her face.
Cousin Loves
She is such a character!
Christmas Dinner
Angela was so excited about all the goodies in her stocking that she kept wanting to eat them before finishing with emptying it!
Christmas morning...
cute cousins
We all dressed up and went to the TV show "Lets Make a Deal." It was really fun and I still think my silver tooth is the coolest ever!
The kids danced around to some Native American music and Angela couldn't get enough of the drum!
Bath time is always a party!
They had to learn to share toys and chairs (and can I just say of course Angela is eating). That's my girl! :)
Happy Holidays...it's sad to see them go! :(
